There is also the reality of bench collapse on the coastline. The bomb(s) that would be used on the south flank would come with explosive might that could be felt throughout the region. Let's just say that in doing so, a large chunk of coastline falls into the ocean. It is not beyond reason to think of this as large sections of the shelf have given way in recent years. Let's just say a large section "slips back into the ocean." And let's say that slippage causes a tsunami. Pretty extreme example, but the answer is clear: Too many unknowns.
