Okay, so we all know that Puna is deeply divided on some issues: geothermal, GMO, experimental housing, ad infinitum. When Russell Ruderman the businessman and musician became Senator Ruderman, he took an oath to represent all the residents of this district whether he personally agrees with them or not. He's perceived as pandering to a faction, which is divisive. This renders him largely ineffective. Frankly, Ruderman's base is out of touch with most of the rest of the state and are perceived as anachronistic and hipper than thou. As a result Lower Puna is now at risk of becoming a full-fledged exclusion zone. We are far more diverse a group than Ruderman and his struggling power click care to admit. Don't you think it's time to bury the hatchet, for a while at least, and work together to keep from become totally disenfranchised?
