Hawaii island needs to send these revolving door people somewhere the door doesn't revolve. It might sound cruel to send an inmate to another state on the mainland but at least when they get out, they can't just go back to the same environment. It is tough on them but it really is better rehabilitation. They will have to be in a halfway house on the mainland, their parole officer will be a mainland parole officer, there are more places that will hire felons. It is probably cheaper to send them to a mainland prison, considering costs in Hawaii are always a lot higher.
