I was talking to a neighbor yesterday, and she tells me the secret to rooting the cutting is to let it dry out - like you would for a cactus or succulent. Let the wound scar over - then put it in the rooting medium.

I haven't been down to Rozettes yet - it looks wonderful. I'm sure I'd get in so much trouble there....

Where can I find palms at a good price? I've been pretty successful finding good buys on orchids, ti plants and anthiriums at the Hilo Farmers' Mkt, but it's hit or miss - and I haven't seen any palms.
