As I read the media release, 12 of the 27 suspects were "later released pending investigation." Only 15 were actually charged. Having followed a few such arrest and release instances in the past that involved crimes against neighbors, my experience indicates that this was done without bond. (No charges, no bond.) Furthermore, it is iffy as to whether prosecution will ever take place. If the authorities do choose to pursue prosecution, finding and rearresting the culprits can be problematical. If anyone else has a different experience, please let us know, and I will stand corrected.
