It will be interesting to see how this plays out. The upcoming board and membership meetings should be interesting as well.
The costs won't stop at the removal of the CS itself whenever the time is right. The hauling and dumping fees to a designated dumping site for "contaminated" material, and then the rebuilding of the road's sub base before putting anything on top of it...whether it be gravel, asphalt, or CS again in multiple layers.
The board is currently looking into base yards in HPP that seem to be popping up and it's enforcement, including the base yard on 20th/21st Paradise that appears to have an oil container on it and possible CS equipment.
As for who will pay to clean up the mess leo, is something that remains to be seen. I bet you won't be alone in thinking that it shouldn't come out of the members' pocket.
