No it's my street, but I have lived here for 12 years and in Puna for 30 years. I think I should be able to have a say and see proper notification of a business opening on the street where I live. I've since learned that the owners of this house do not and have not ever lived on this street. So what do they care if they bring in more traffic and road wear in exchange for rent money. Schools are great. Business is great. I supported Walmart opening up, but not on my street. Come on, where's the respect. We've go a highway out there with easy access. Use it. Don't send all the cars down this cinder road. More traffic means more problems. Is there a fence on this property to keep the kids out of the road? And that's just what I want to see, middle school kids walking down my street wondering what they are going to take or vandalize tonight. I intend on investigating the rules and laws to see that this business is put where it should be, somewhere else. I don't have a bad attitude, this just rubs my the wrong way. I stand up for my family and home and believe that respect should be shown.
