I second that. As SB can attest to concrete tools are expensive but each finisher worth his time has his finish tools. SB has the bull float for the guys to use. And heaven help the laborer who doesnt clean it up at the end! Can you say "need a new job"?
The other thing I suggest is dont try to save money by not having on site a power trowl (aka "bird"). Even if you are going for a "broom" finish for say a driveway - if that concrete starts going off (and not enough guys/too warm a day / too dry a mix) the bird can save the day. Oh yah and you dont actually use a real broom - it is a tool that has a fringed broom like edge.
