Can you taste the vog?

When the usually reliable trade winds are blowing, the vog is much worse in HOVE (and Kona) than in Puna or Hilo. The recent prolonged interruption in the trades, while unusual, is not unheard of. In my seven years of travelling to and living in Puna, the recent vog here in HPP has been the worst I have experienced. I am sure longer-term residents can remember worse than that. Thankfully the past few days have been better in our neighborhood. It's even drizzling this morning.
