Macuu222, I'd try Nalu's angle....health food stores. That is an excellent idea, yet at the same time you might wanna try 'Mom & Pop' Stores too. They tend to be open to buying products from the local population.
I gotta get me one of those trees too! They grow everywhere wild in Tahiti. On the Island of Huahine, in Lake Maevaa, there is huge amount of small cherry like clams. I use to go clamming there all the time. While on the way home with my catch I'd pass countless amounts of Tahitian Lime Trees. Of course clams taste best fresh right from the lake. So I'd find myself a nice spot to sit down, take out my trusty knife and proceed to have a fresh clam lunch on the spot. Pop open the clams, and squeeze some fresh lime juice on the clam and suck it out! It didn't take long for me to start to enjoy clams served up this way. As much as I enjoy opihii...it couldn't even hold up next to these fresh clams that are only found in one place in all of French Polynesia....lake Maevaa!!!
Ball park figure, how much does a Tahitian Lime tree cost? Currently I have a Kiffir Lime Tree from Thailand growing on my property. Kiffir Lime Tree for me, is mainly for the leaf( Iuse it in my curries). So I'd like to have a Tahitian Lime Tree for the fruit![]
