Thanks for the input all. Les, not to worry I would only be bringing in Phasianus colchicus mongolicus which is already present on the Big Island....granted they are all hybrids at this point with P.c. torquatus and P.c. versicolor. At any rate if I can find a supply of birds on the island, there's no need to import. One can only imagine what could happen if another species of Galliform was accidentally released and established itself...the Kalij have already caused quite a mess.
