Scott, we have volunteer "weed" cherry tomatoes all around our lot... They seem to last a couple of years, with many fruiting episodes (usually have gaps during drought/flood times). These smaller tomatoes are not bothered by much (the ones by our fences get Roundupped by the neighbors gardener every once in a while, but they are also VERY acidic.... good for cooking, & sliced in a salad, but a little harsh for out-of-hand eating.
