"D", Kimbo is almost 35 years old brah! What do you expect from a guy in only his third MMA match. Dude doesn't even own a belt in either BJJ or judo. He was just a homeless "street brawler" from Miami who fought here and there to support his six kids. Fortunate for him he caught fire via the Internet. Over night he became an Internet Star as a "street brawler".

Of course all the fights were stopped rather quickly last night. Those were the orders coming down from EliteXC front office I'm sure to stop fights quickly. They want good television ratings so hopefully they have another Sat Night Fights. As for the fight card, it was second rate at best.

But let me take the time right now to say "BS" on all the rumors/theories about Slice/Thompson fight.

I know there are tons of "Kimbo haters" out there. I was never a hater, but I was a doubter, and I remain that way today. Nothing about his fight last night changed my views on the man's fighting ability. But his pre-fight interview, and post fight press conference has changed my view on the man. Dude is really, and I mean really a good family man. Not into post fight parties, he just wants to go home to his family after fights. That right there is enough for me.
I always said Kimbo was far from ready to meet the serious competition in MMA and last night proved it. But like I said Damon, dude is not a martial artist at all. He's just a street brawler" with extremely heavy hands![^] Thompson taking Kimbo to the mat was the best thing that ever happened to Kimbo. Now he truly has a better idea as to where he stands in this industry.

Kimbo comes into a few years to late for his age. But his brute strength and given a few years more with Bas Ruttan, Kimbo just might be a good fight for Fedor! Well, that might be stretching it a bit to far. But the Heavyweight division in UFC ,WEC, IFL, etc,etc.. is all weak and not very deep. So for somebody like Kimbo to just step in and have a chance, he is definitely in the right weight division!
