Another big big vote for Dr Ebesugawa. To me, it seemed like he was working way too much, and his staff told me it was because he had trouble turning away patients. But, since then another Hilo ob-gyn has shut up shop, so I don't know whether he still takes everybody.
I am no stranger to long hours, night calls etc. but the kind of schedule he seemed to keep was just frightening. I heard other women complain about having to wait too long for an apointment, and yes, I have waited in the waiting room 2+ hours for my turn. But what are you going to do? When the babies have to come, they come. You either turn away patients or the patients you have must wait longer. There's no other solution when good doctors are so few.
What should worry you even more is lining up a paediatrician for the baby. You should start working on that right away.
