Campaign signs being stolen/defaced....etc.

The signs are unsightly, annoying, turn to rubbish, and don't change anybody's mind. So what's the point? One of my criteria for eliminating candidates from consideration when I can't make up my mind is "annoying or excessive signs." Some people in HPP have left their Emily Naeole signs up since the last election, anticipating that she would run again! (Sorta like those year round Christmas icicle lights.) Isn't there a law that they have to be removed at some point after the election is over? Not that it matters to anybody, but I haven't decided whether to vote for Ms. Naeole this time. It may come down to who annoys me the least. Rant over.
