This is an issue that should be decided by the voters not the county! Like John we reuse the plastic bags exactly the same way, plus use the bags to recycle newspapers, catalogs, carry books, garage sales, the list goes on. You cannot do this with paper bags ect. especially in this climate! When the bag is empty I automatically tie the bag in a knot, which I wish more people did, no risk of blowing away. Supermarket bags do break down, have left books to long, you go to pick up the bag, it crumbles into little pieces not fun cleaning up. Check the bottom of the bags from the markets they are marked HDPE #2[
] and can be recycled, while many of the trash bags you buy from the stores are not.
