I've been thinking about this since I posted and I've decided to call myself a HIres (pronounced high-rez), short for Hawai'i resident. Then Nevadan can become NEVres, Californian CALres, Texan TEXres, etc. Although, since there are Americans and Native Americans, I don't see why there couldn't be Hawaiians and Native Hawaiians, without offending any delicate sensibilities.
