I know the exact car that "tourist" refers to. It is a yellow Honda CR-X and this guy has almost run us off the road twice in as many weeks. Both of our encounters were on Rt. 132 and he was coming straight at us at at least 100 mph. On one occasion, his buddy was hanging all the way out of the passenger side window. There are areas on that road with no shoulders...just lava rocks on the side. This is a dangerous situation for everyone on the road. We have also seen him in both Pahoa and Hilo. On a hunch, we found him parked at Pohoiki one day and got his license plate number. I came home and called the police, but of course, they could do nothing about it. I begged them to take the info from me. Hopefully this guy gets caught before he kills himself and other innocent people.
