I wish that the government would regulate the parking situation at the Mt. view post office. That place is a death trap. I only check my mail once a week and am thankful every time I make it out alive. I'm guessing th HA farmers market must be much worse considering your concern.

And you, justthefacts are you the unofficial government regulator? You seem dead set against cultural and social advancement at Community Center. You complain about the HACC not having a proper working Fire House and also about our roads not being kept well enough? My question is: how do these types of vending and farmers market operations take away the community center's road fee money? Are they tapping into the road fee money to have someone sit out in front and sell banana bread? If you don't like it don't buy it. Just drive by without tattling on everyone. Geesh it's clear to me now what/who the problem is.

Pete - The traffic parking situation at the Community Center on Rds 8 and C is worse than the Mtn View Post Office in our perspective.
There is no place to park,so people park on 8rd shoulders,double parking by the community center,blocking entirely the through traffic,little children running in and out of parked vehicles,it is an extremely dangerous situation. We slow down to 5mph or slower on Rd 8 when ever any thing is happening there as people are walking in the traffic to get around the parked vehicles.People are openly drinking alcohol and smoking herbs and then when they do drive away,they are either drunk or stoned or both. To E,Wart - the banana bread you mention is crap,there are pebbles in the bread and dog hair.Obviously not created in a certified kitchen,one couple sells home made pasta and in the pasta has dog hairs and rodent feces,we have made complaints to the Department of Health when we have gotten food borne sickness or broken teeth from pebbles in the breads and or pasta,the Department of Health do say they get complaints about the products either sold or given away at the HACA center and have or will be red flagged in the near future. The parking situation is dangerous at best.We drive on Rd 9 to our property near C on 9 rd instead of 8 and C because of the ongoing traffic snafu situation when ever they feed the homeless and hungry on saturdays.The parking and traffic is an accident waiting to happen,maybe even a death should the people in charge not do anything about this known situation.In our perspective they should pave a parking area and have off duty police officers mitigate traffic and parking each and every time there is any sort of gathering at their community center.It is an accident waiting to happen,and the Mtn View Post office parking and traffic situation is far less of a problem than at the HACA community center. Extremely dangerous situation and an accident waiting to happen.Totally not fair to residents who live down that side and if emergency service vehicles need to have through right of way,unencumbered,they will be thwarted when trying to locate the owners of blocked vehicles. Until these issues can be addressed,there should not be any farmers market at the HACA community center.

I wish that the government would regulate the parking situation at the Mt. view post office.
It is regulated, just not in a way that is useful to the community. Specficially: County takes a back seat to any State or Federal situation; any USPS location is Federal whether they own or lease the land. Otherwise, Mountain View Post Office would not meet the requirements of the PCDP.

Mimosa i do not know why you say such things,
1) there is plenty of parking space and i have never seen anyone parked in eight road or double parked (with the exemption of susan tita who obviously feels exempt) 2) little children running around - what at a community center - how dare they! 3) what banana bread are you talking about? the reference was hypothetical not a reality and although someone may have sold banana bread at one time for some fundraiser or another it is not a cottage industry that takes place at our center 4) i am sorry the free food for the homeless and hungry did not meet with your gastronomic approval. i suggest you do not eat it - especially as you are neither homeless or hungry. 5) there is a whole paved parking area between the center and the fire house...is this new? or is the fact it is not visible from the road enough to say it doesn't exist? 6) the issues of who parks where SHOULD there be a market IS being addressed. at the moment there is NOTHING happening other than a friendly meet each week to try and work out the logistics of this venture. of course that may or may not include the added entertainment of wasting police time, and having susan watch you from her truck. #10048;

ely wart, heres the deal, community money from the association funds is being spent on a farmers market , money went to apply for the permit , money on cinder for the ground , and a cost for insurance . now as to the road money it is being spent on lawyer fees as the road corp is being sued for misdoings next court hearing on that issue is in october.
oh suggest you dont sell your banana bread it violates board of health regulations. tattling ?? come on now the word is complaint, yes file a complaint. people have the right to drive on a road , the road should not be blocked by an ill conceived farmers market .

birch, parking in front of the community center is Not allowed, and there are only a handful of parking places on the side of the building. we as a community are getting very tired of the "feeding" going on it only draws in bums, from outside the subdivision. the same people that frequent the downtown parks and streets show up at the center to grab up food. they are not starving as they have EBT cards , some of them have staph infections,they are in side the center using the bathrooms , chairs and tables , which are never washed down.
other people getting free food are people that are not starving , they could buy their own food or have an ebt card . no starving people . also read the new board of health regulation , you must have a certified kitchen to "feed" meals. the community center does not have a certifed kitchen. now for the good part . a complaint will be filed.
