The systems process for this TMT case sounds and looks like it was very rigorous and costly for many of the participants. I for one appreciate all their hard work and diligence in this TMT case.

They all requested a "stay of execution" until the supreme court decided on the appeals that they all swear they are filing.

Right -- it's going to the State Supremes anyway, why waste time with this hearing?

After which they'll appeal to the US Supremes, so why waste time with the State?

After which I guess they'll all be arrested ... why waste time in court at all?

I don't know how the full thing compares to the summaries on bigislandvideo, but the dynamics of the room are interesting. There seemed to be both loud pro- and anti- responses at times. The anti- crowd were quite loud at times though with the conch shell and such. It was over the top. No one seemed to want to tell them to knock it off.
