Noel, I can bring you a couple of plumeria cuttings. However, I have just moved into my house recently and it has not bloomed yet. But the previous occupant said it's red. I can also bring gardenia and ti (green) cuttings if anyone is interested.
I myself would like to grow more bananas for food and would greatly appreciate if anyone has extra banana keiki plants to share.

If your still coming would you happen to bring any extra red ti cuttings, kindly appreciate it.

If its rains, we can have the activity in my extra large carport - hawaiian style!

Noel, we can also bring some red ti - do you also want green?
We found out the euphorbia we are thinning out is Euphorbia lactea & much of the base looks like this:
http://www.plantoftheweek.org/week114.shtml
with a lot of old crusty crests & some newer & nice, some with ruby highlights on the top of the crest.
The bulk of the plant looks more like:

I am starting to thin out today, & it is best to let the cuts cure 1-2 weeks, so they will be ready to plant in a week or so. Does anyone want some cuttings? Some friends in HPP planted a bunch of cuttings as a natural thorn hedge to reduce kids & pigs coming into their land.
The latex is irritating & can cause blisters if left on the skin too long (got one today, why I'm in & on the computer), but only a problem when trimming the thing. (ours is taller than the house & near a street corner, so really should be way shorter).

thanks for the offer of the ti that would be great....you might as well bring some of the euphorbia cuttings also for anyone that might want those....i'm sure those would cure by saturday timeframe....i sometimes use matches to burn the ends so the milky sap doesn't come out all over the place.

see you on saturday....

Noel,

This is off topic, but how do you like your neighborhood? It's one of two we're seriously considering.

We'd be good neighbors, so be honest if you like it! :-)

hi jimmy,

on the punaweb site, there was a big discussion on various pros/cons on the subdivisions in puna....too many to review in one reply and you will find a plethora of good feedback....so a search on favorite subdivisions.

i have different properties in different areas, but i do like beaches and particularly my block and neighbors....i think you will find most replies boils down to individuals experiences with their blocks, neighbors and then the subdivision not all in that order....it involves a thorough search while your here with a knowledgeable realtor along with the available information on the site and doing those investigations while your in the area....not that you are not getting any good information online - i think it will make more sense what is important to you when your physically here investigating, observing and talking to people....everyones opinion in each subd is a personal thought and might might work out to what your own expectations are...hope that helps you.....while your here come to one of the punaweb parties - i always miss them so i thought i'll have one for a change while im here so i get to meet all of the wonderful online people in person from punaweb.

Today was fun -- about 10 of us. Lots of good food and some great plants. I enjoyed it. Thanks to Noel for hosting.
