If I've ever pirated stuff, thats none of your business.I'll just just repeat what I said previously If there is no financial incentive to create content, there will be less content made.
It may come to a point where we'll see less good movies, music, software because the
financial incentive is not there.
Who in their right might would invest 100 million in a movie, when people will simply pirate it after its made ?
Think about about that when you pirate that
music, software,movies.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrr Ya be a fine lad Beachboy. Aaaaarrrrrron, As long as there is a need to be creative, there will be art. If you think the more invested in, or the more profit out of something equals it's quality....... Well you're right up there with "The Donald" as a judge of AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRTTTTTTT.

Everything I've ever been given free I have also passed it on to others free. PErhaps Motley Crue, and other individuals don't like this practise, but ask me if I care. Come to think about it Motley Fools aren't around anymore are they? Perhaps all the whinning the gutarist made made sales dip way down for them. Now as far as individuals go. If they want to pay out the Wazoo for software or music that's their business. Just like it's my own business if I want to download music or software. Come to think about it, I downloaded one song tonight from my p2p software.

Greg, you've misconstrued my point. I could hit my head against the wall thousands of times and you probably still wouldn't get it. So I'll let dead dogs die.

Beachboy, it was Metallica, not Motley Crue whose drummer Lars Ulrich came out against
Napster.

my bad Aaron! I'm not a metal Head...but is Metallica still around?
Aaron, the two most popular sites for downloading have been attacked by Governments ofr operating. But when push comes to shove, these guys will never go away! The two most popular sites Allofmp3.com, or thePirateBay.org will never be shut down. Aaron, you can read about there so-called problems with links below. Pirate Bay is a great place if you're into Bit Torrents.
Bottomline, a lot of corparations are pissed about technology for the end user. Besides downloads being an issue, browsers like Firefox is under the gun for ad blocking software!?!?
I guess we can all hate Napster for what they created? I want my free content

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaron, You're absolutely right; You could hit your head against the wall thousands of times and I would not get it!
However; Pirates aren't killing the music industry; The music industry is commiting suicide by treating it's fans like criminals, and trying to use technology to monopolize it's stranglehold on art. As far as people hesitating to invest millions into "blockbuster" film; So what? Small, independently produced films are more interesting anyway. At least to those not anesthitized by mass media.

Interesting article that supports the idea of independent artists.
My new favorite that I found on You Tube, Gnarls Barkley, from a friend. There are so many others, just depends what your friends are tuned in to and turn you on to. Interesting technological advances will keep on coming.

Look at this from this angle. Putting a value
on content is not something that is black or white. I'm sure some artists would gasp that
you wanted to pay only 25 cents for their music.
Another example, not everyone likes those indie low budget movies. I personally like those big budget movies like Transformers.
If piracy makes bankrolling those kind of movies unfeasible, it wouldn't sit well with me.
Yes big media and big software companies are ripping us off. But that is no excuse to pirate copyrighted works.
