I saw a lot of HELCO trucks in Nanawale today. That's gotta be a good sign right? *sigh*

Our home is located in the very back so if I heard OK power at X street then I would know it was getting closer.
Not really true. They are skipping the tougher streets and those with the fewest customers in order to focus on getting the most people to have power the quickest. They have done that in the other subdivisions, too.

Hawaii News Now did a long segment on Nanawale a couple days ago, that in part focused on the HELCO restoration. I don't know it it is online. You could email HNN and ask how to see it.
One part I recall was they commented that Nanawale is especially challenging due to the narrow streets making it difficult for the boom trucks to do their thing.

Nanawale segment from HNN that KathyH was talking about:

I heard from another Nanawale resident who talked to HELCO and said that parts of nanawale could have power starting tomorrow. Yeah it's second hand info but it's something.
