Enough of the hearsay willyhunglo.
We also had an issue with the HA farmers market.
The concept is good, but we did not like our grandchildren exposed to the open drug use as it detracts from the whole idea.We also did not like that traffic was always impeded , both on Rd C and spilling onto Road 8,creating a traffic hazard for the many.
We also question if the kitchen is certified with the Department of Health and if the water in their water tank is fit for human consumption.
If the Community Center can get the proper legal paperwork taken care of,the open drug use stopped and traffic not blocked for those needing to pass by safely,we have no issues with the concept.
Please stop with the name calling WillyHunglo,it serves no purpose.
Let it go.

I've heard similar rumors of a small handful of disruptive busybodies working to dismantle the farmers' market and other community efforts.
Of course, the same can be said of many subdivisions, so this feature does not make HA "special".

So it isn't true? It isn't reopening this Saturday? Wish the minor issues could get ironed out. The market was a good thing.

no disruptive "busybodies" , proactive people that are very tired of being bullied by some nasty people that insist upon having their way regardless of rules, regulations , and respect for property owners and the community center .There was drug activity ,and not much in the way of farm product sales by their own admission it was mostly a self serving activity for a handful of people , there was and is no real strong community support . some of the pro market people do not own a property in the subdivision yet are demanding they have a place to hang out on Saturday.
the market was shut down because there were no permits,or insurance, and blocked the roadway. and it appears that this group of people insist (at the expense ) of the association members that they Will "do what they like". because there still is no insurance , parking, or place set up that is ready for a market. no rules or guidelines in place yet the bulling continues as they force themselves on the community and show up to hold a market , only to be told by police to cease and desist . so all the name calling and threats being made are not going to stop the proactive tax paying citizens from working towards a cleaner, safer, better subdivision.

As a long time resident, I have an issue with this market and know of others in this community that object as well.

Of course most of us that do object are long time, hard working, tax paying individuals who are tired of those individuals who want to take over in this subdivision. Enough !!! They have nothing to offer this community. This market is absolutely not about a sustainable food source. Sould they need something to do I suggest trying a job to supplement their lifestyle.if they feel they need a market,go to one that is legal and in exzistance, if they just wanna hang out together go to a park.

Well well, there you are, I'm sure it's you who is the so called wicked witch donkey lady who canceled the market. Justthefacts/2bad4u I'm sure you did it because people were having too much fun and socializing and that just burned you up inside. Drive by and call the cops because you cannot stand merriment. Well it's going to happen eventually and there will be nothing you can do to stop it! People from our community will meet and greet and sell and trade their goods. This isn't a crime as much as you would like it to be so you nit-pick for little loop-holes to ruin it all. What a despicable human being.

WillyHunglo - Please STOP with calling residents wicked witch's and donkey raisers .
We are in our 80s in age.
We take our grand children to the park behind the HACA building and we do NOT appreciate our grand children being exposed to the open drug use or the public drinking. And yes we will call the police on anyone who exposes our ohana to wrong doing.
In addition we have now installed a dash cam in our truck to capture the goings on when we take the grandkids to any public park,be it at HACA or at a beach park.
The police seek evidence and we as tax paying citizens who do own lots in H.A. do not need to be subjected to illegal activities by the few that just want to hang out and smoke drugs or drink alcohol instead of actually selling farm products .
If any one is blocking safe passage for us on Rd C or Rd 8,yes we will call law enforcement .Along with a more vocal minority in H.A. who are FED UP with the non farmers .
So please willyhunglo,if you wish to have a beef with us,leave our grandchildren out of it.

Maybe your community would benefit by having a weekly "get together", where residents could discuss concerns and exchange Aloha. Something like a "Farmers Market".
Community is built by gathering together, not by internet sniping, or litigation over petty misunderstandings.

Community is built by gathering together
Like any organism, a strong enough community will easily ward off infection.
