Why do I love Pahoa?

Sorry punafish I know you would prefer it fluffy, but remember awareness and positive change can be much more uplifting. You may have started a thread that actually helps in ways you cannot yet see. Let it be real.

Not sure where the fluffy comment comes from. You have no idea what I prefer. Truth is I've had more gloom and doom in the last couple months than you can imagine. Just trying to carve out a temporary slice of "feel-good", even if it's fleeting. It's about taking a break from the gloom, not "preferring it fluffy."

As I said, I invite you to start a thread on EBT and fraud in Pahoa, legit topics for sure. Or you could just keep commenting on my thread, your choice.

This is my last comment so you get the last word.

Thanks everyone else for your comments!
Tim

Way to ruin a fun thread. [Sad]
As was said, if you want to talk about EBT, you can start your own topic.
This was about the joy of a jam session in the street.

Oh please, are you two that weak? Know nothing of creative writing expression? I have been awarded in the field and know when writers bounce off one another many things can occur including tangent of "how this could be better" etc...

You basically let people express, thank them and continue with your "positive/fluffy only" comments since you feel that is the only way to communicate. Or did my words hit close to home. Scamming isn't cool. Sorry I did it again. I love Pahoa so much that I wish she didn't have so many scammers and feel it needs to be said and said here. Grow up.

I don't think anyone has a problem with what you said 007. It's the context and why we have wise old sayings like:

There's a time and a place for everything.

Timing is everything.

To everything there is a season.

Does seem sad that a post about what you love about Pahoa gets hijacked into someone's personal bitch session. No love at all. Start your own thread if you want to complain and bring everyone down.

I enjoy free association and I enjoy tangents and creativity. I am also not one of those fluff only folks, and neither is Punafish.

I said something because this topic was about creativity and you turned it to yet another rant about entitlements and fraud and taxes.

The topic was not "why do YOU love Pahoa or not love."
Topic was punafish sharing why HE loves Pahoa.

But if you insist -- this article explains how a person earning $50K a year pays only one dime a day in Federal taxes to fund the SNAP program. I lose more than that by not catching mistakes at the register or not properly policing my pocket change.
