Hanabusa rumoured to be new Attorney General
#11
PT -you are literally calling another poster an "idiot." Too bad the moderator tolerates this, but is this your level of discourse, really?
We are still waiting for that video clip that you cited repeatedly, that apparently does not exist. Surely it would take less time to find it than the time you've spent refusing to do so. Yet you fume and rant about and call people names in a diatribe unrelated to the topic. Happy New Year and Aloha to you!
BTW, on the topic, Hanabusa will not be the nominee, and there is no short list. Hanabusa will begin full time campaigning for her next run at the Senate seat for which she was anointed.

Any respectable "pro-science" person would be able to find proof of hypothesis.

I am getting tired of the name calling and baiting. Happens again and it is vacation time.

Assume the best and ask questions.

You can see where the thread derailing occurred, when it went off on a totally unrelated topic. Has nothing to do with the subject except it being pointed out hearsay from alleged acquaintances speculations is not a "rumour". Not sure what all the fighting over scraps is about.

I don't much care what its about. But I am tired of people who call others idiots or other names - it shows that there is only one opinion you respect - your own. Rather self centered, perhaps too self centered for Punaweb. You have two choices.

A. Apologize and go back and edit.
B. Risk getting the boot without notice.

And this message applies to all in general.

Assume the best and ask questions.

I titled this thread "Hanabusa rumored to be...."
I opened the thread with...."I've heard that there are extensive discussions between the Ige administration and the Congresswoman...."

Here's a cut'n'paste for you....
verb: rumour
1.
be circulated as an unverified account.

PT edits a prior post (clever!) to write:
"The subject line of this thread is a lie. It is not a "rumour". It was anecdotal hearsay of two supposed ex officials. It was used as flamebait by thread derailing.

Ted, that logic, that last sentence in particular, is really something to behold...I have no idea how to wrap my mind around it (without a hallucinogen).
I retire...in awe. PT, mission accomplished !

It's the written version of the impossible triangle.

Update: Ige Names New Attorney General & PUC Chairman

Douglas Chin, a local attorney and managing director of the city under former Mayor Peter Carlisle, will be Hawaii’s attorney general.

Chin has also worked for 12 years at the city Prosecuting Attorney’s office. He will be leaving his post as managing partner at Carlsmith Ball. He’s earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Stanford University, and a law degree from the University of Hawaii.

“He is able to defend the state in court, facilitate and negotiate agreements, manage a large department and communicate well,” Ige said in a statement. “It’s rare to find someone who can do all those things.”

Randy Iwase was tapped to be the chairman of the Public Utilities Commission. Iwase is a former supervising deputy attorney general whose division provided legal support for the state Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs and the utilities commission.

He was a longtime state senator, and a former Democratic gubernatorial candidate who lost against former Gov. Linda Lingle in 2006. Iwase earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and his J.D. from the University of San Francisco.

“He has tackled tough issues in the past and has a strong record of commitment to the public,” Ige said in a statement.

On the surface, these look like very strong selections. It is encouraging to see locals take back the government from transplants, even though they are Honolulu locals. It's not changing rule by Oahu standards, over the outer islands like they are so quaintly called these days. Honolulu has discovered there are outer islands, lol.

"Rumour" = DEBUNKED! gong!
