Save our invasives!
#11
Not an invasive species per se, but I wonder what can be done about Safeway's outrageous decision to stop stocking Branston pickle, Heinz baked beans and HP sauce? Could this group involve saving invasive non-native food as well?

And water! This water here is YUCKY! What happens when fuel prices go back up? Plus, with the foreign water, the bubbles aren't that much extra.

kjlpahoa ponders;

"Snorkle, your humor is sickening - if it is humor. I do question if this is really intended to be humor knowing all the other posts you have made."

Thank you for your passionate inquiry. Please tell us a joke or a funny story about your cat.

Snorkle when I first read the post's subject line, had to look twice...then I seen it was from you, so I knew it would have your wit and a smile after reading...thanks! I like your sense of humor...a little "off", but I guess that is why I like it so much! Have a great day!

Yes, the lack of coqui frog calling is beginning to wear on me. I actually heard crickets the other evening. I have been planting wild guava as fast as I can. Will that help?

Exactly one person here, so far, is completely lacking in a sense of humor. My sympathies, kjl - no wonder you're always complaining. Snorkle is still head humor human here. I sell a nice albizia fertilizer that doubles as coqui food, if anyone's interested. Also, we are developing a frog-sized megaphone. Just attach to frog for better sound projection.

Or you could market Pahoehoe facial mudpack. Ignore the sounds and smells of burning flesh, you'll be pleased with the charred bony appearance it leaves behind (that is you would be pleased with your appearance, if you hadn't burned your eyeballs out.

The Fire Ant Reserve Trust wishes to remind lucrative contributors that the soothing sounds of coquis can be adequately simulated by placing a small wooden crate of feral chickens next to your bed, and adding a cat. No need to waste your hard-earned money on expensive, artificial devices when quadrillions of fire ants go hungry every day. Did you know that scientists have proven that a fire ant can make UP TO 8000 TIMES ITS OWN WEIGHT in food totally unappetizing merely by floating to the top of the bowl? Act now to save these majestic, silent, nutritious creatures before it's too late.

Thanks to the Good Sheppard foundation and all their good works on protecting the Coqui frog here in Puna. Last night I made and brought my favorite dish to the neighborhood potluck....Coqui Poke. I'm currently writing The Puna Invasive Species recipe book. If you have a special invasive species recipe pls share it here. Mongoose roadkill jerky is a highlight as well as cacao dipped LFA clusters.
