No doubt those changes required electricians - I believe that you are supposed to hire a plumber and an electrician (by Hawaii County code) to change out your garbage disposal.

The only place this story is making news is on bigislandvideonews, and while their production values are much better than Occupy, they still are pretty obvious about their agenda.

I didn't see any major construction at Walmart. They shuffled a bunch of things around, looks like they discontinued a large part of home furnishing, and they put the self-checkout stands that replaced at least 6 employee checkout stands. The electricity psychosis is a delusion, each register had electric before. Didn't see any rewiring going on at all. There was a 2x4 frame covered with plastic to kind of block the view of the work area.

There is this whole marketing thing going on between Puna and Hilo now. This one looks like a displaced cashier whined to the power-biddies and pumped up the "corruption". They packaged that and got another one of these flaky non-profits to pick it up as an "issue". The non-profit requested a county council testimony, bigislandvideo is there to record the testimony. Nobody has a clue whats going on because the real reason for the "construction" was to take out human operated cash registers and replace them with self checkout. This stuff is entertaining but even some episodes of Gilligan's Island were too stupid to watch.

Every 5 years Wal-Mart does this type of renovation / upgrades to all of it's stores nation wide .
They did though reduce staff in the food section nation wide and in Hilo .

There is a large Mosha-cult in south Puna and they were attempting a takeover 3 years ago.
