Hope they keep the cook. It’s the only place to get Wurst on the island. (that i know of)

It is possible that now that the chambers inside Kilauea have collapsed that the next time lava rises in Halemaumau it will be even more visible and glowing on the surface. It is also possible the lava will no longer rise there. I'm sure people will still come to see the crater no matter what, but probably less "repeat business" if nothing is changing there.

Los cojones grandes! The park is beautiful and well worth a visit with or without lava, I suppose. Here's to the optimists of the world. No risk it no biscuit!

Is this thread for Kilauea Lodge or Volcano House Hotel? Little misleading in the title line. Kilauea Lodge is in Volcano, outside the park, Volcano House is in the park on the crater rim.

It lists glamping as an option. I wonder if they are going to setup some tents?
