Idealism that sounds just and fair....in someone else's community, where some one else has to struggle with the reality of the "political fallout of the day" wrecking a community. I will never understand how people can so blindly follow either party.

Frank - with respect, you brought up democrats and republicans. No-one else did until you mentioned it. This is not a helpful argument when it comes to the TMT or astronomy on Mauna Kea and just adds to the tensions that already exist. I have no idea why you brought the subject up unless you just want to troll and make things worse.
