Age is not doing anything good for my memory or math ability. I finally thought again about the amount I was paid and my decimal point was off. It was 5 cents per pound, not 50 cents. i.e. $1.70 for a 34 pound battery.

I just hang onto mine until I (or a friend) need to buy new ones. Core charges are often $10-15.

O'Reillys used to buy them, don't know if they still do. They paid either $5 or $10 per used battery.

If you've every bought a battery at Costco and paid the core fee you can take a used one in and get your core fee back. I took one in- I think it was about 2 years after I bought the battery and they gave me $15 cash.

Shoots! I was gunna bring them the two modified fork lift batteries we used for solar off grid for the last 13 years, each of which is over a thousand pounds. I replaced to them and don’t really know what to do with them. Kinda a forklift move. But to where?

Was fantasizing getting over a grand for them. Wink

Cheers,
Kirt
