Re: African tulip trees

They are also a magnet/nesting site for termites. When living in Kaimuki way-back-when, there were several tulip trees on either side of the house we were renting. On a humid evening in May, huge swarms, the largest I have ever seen to this day, left the trees and invaded every nook, cranny and eave of our house.
