I love the Gaudi architecture! Probably impratical for Puna as there holes, designed into the roof! Also, shipping it would be very expensive!
Apropos of nothing: Does anyone know who makes this little kit house, which is so cute?:

One of FLW' Junior's big projects was the Marin Civic Center. True to family tradition, its' roof leaks, too.

Sorry Glen - I know I was WAY out there with the relevance to this topic linking you to a the Gaudi in Barcelona...just too beautiful though. (Hahaahaa - "too many holes" heeheehee..)
FLW has designed a few really pretty buildings here in Arizona...the Gammage Auditorium on the campus of ASU is magnificent.

Glen, that's an HPM "Lauhala" model, which is rapidly becoming the "1056" of the current decade, but its lot nicer.

FYI, here on the island, in the past there was (and still is) an HPM model that was built SO much that no one even calls it by name any more, its just called a "1056". You can call flooring companies, roofers, painters, etc for a quote and all you have to do is tell them you have a 1056 and they probably already have a pre-printed quote prepared. Yes, it was THAT overbuilt.

Bingo, John. Mahalo. Same square footage, master on the left and two beds on the right. I like this house but I want it moved to HSRE where they have a pool!

I see, Cat. Daniel Bona is an architect. Looks like he designed Absolute Sniffy Land, on which he did a BEAUTIFUL job, taking full advantage of the views. He also did a very cute little Hawaiiana house with very practical looking vents under the gables. That house someone resembles the one I referred to.
And to think this thread started with Mesa Airlines!

Carolann -- this is a thread that has lost its way, in meandering Puna fashion. I am probably responsible. The Gaudi constructions fit right in!

Glen, This house has the look of Royalls kit house (but I don't think his is the same model-check the building forum).

Hey G. Leis --- (tongue slightly in cheek)... FL Wright is a hack... what about Meis Van Der Rohe! What awesome work! (Just kidding on the FLW - he did some pretty interesting things!)
LOL, Mies van der Rohe's (and Philip Johnson's) glass boxes leak like sieves too! Hell, left to his own 'less is more' devices, he probably tried to convince clients that they didn't even need a roof . . .
aloha,
