I don't usually do "me too" posts on PunaWeb, but since Rob requested it, I'm happy to report that I filed my testimony online last night too

I want to thank those who have sent in testimony. This evening is the last chance to submit and have it at the Committee hearing on Friday.
I will be attending the hearing in Honolulu.

You can still submit at this link:

Senator Gil Kahele called and said that WAM passed HB 1626 with only one no vote (Sam Slom) and one aye with reservations. There are fifteen committee members.

There were over eighty testimonies in support, about five opposed.

Thank you everyone for your testimony.

"which would enable funding for maintenance of private subdivision roads from taxes paid on gasoline"

Does this include HPP?!

It would and should include HPP. Once HB 1626 passes final vote and the Governor signs it there is expected to be a Council Ad Hoc Committee formed to work out the nuts and bolts of a program.
Assume the best and ask questions.
