I wanna make one thing perfectly clear here. I do appreciate our "neighborhood watch". I just made a statement that it appears HPP's 'Neighborhood watch' is patrolled by retirees. Saying that they were old wasn't meant as an insult. It's just a fact of life. Most neighborhood watches are run & patrolled by retirees anyway. Not sure why people would get upset over that perception? Perps know that and take advantage of that fact.
Like I said, I'd rather they stay home and the Keaau police patrol all of our subdivisions better or put in a kiosk in each subdivision. I'd hate to see or hear of some old retiree from the mainland volunteer for neighborhood watch in one of our subdivisions catch a bullet or a knife from an ICE Addict looking for things to steal & sell to support their habit!

Look up Ma and Pa Ferguson from Texas... you will find that Texas likes to keep an eye on its crooks... so it puts them in government.

By the way.. Tom Delay is a minor crook in Texas politics.
