Plan for vegetables.... some we eat.... some I share.... an there is an old acquaintance who appears to b trying to open a veggie stan on highway 11 and once up and running i am hoping she will buy some. Motly I like to trade what I have for help at things I am not strong enough to do myself and I give to a lot of people who just don't have.....

Oh, my goodness the greenhouse is amazing. We hauled a truck load of trash out and Bob hauled another load from his garage and around the house, Thank you Julie for the assisted manpower. the greenhouse has raised beds of green beans that seem to have doubled in size in a few days, Everything is pretty and healthy. It does my heart good to see that I am accomplishing something even though I am having help. Life is worth living, there are things to look forward to, success is achievable. Smile

ummmm.... 80 bush greenbeans, 100 heads of lettuce, 60+ roma tomatoes, 50+ cucumbers all planted and doing well. Nothing producing yet but looking great. Greenbeans are already flowering. Have yet to put in those tiny baby carrots, cilantro and a few bell peppers that came up from seed. Ugh, I am just tired. sjo, who wants to come buy or trade for veggies (in around 6 weeks or so) and fresh eggs.... then in a year there will be a cow/grass fed beef supplemented with papaya and maybe some lamb..... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee. It's alal fun. We will always share what we have with anyone in need. ... no need be in dire need..... can just be friendly visits. We can always use a little help with the things that old farts with health problems need heelp with. whatever. I am just so pleased to be doing something productive. If nothing else, I can start sharing with the Volcano Art Center for their /thursday night free meals. Just know that if the "big disaster" hits the word and Hilo, we have it figured out. We can all survive with a little work. It would be tough to starve here if you tried not to. Oh, we are catching feral pigs in ur trap and wonderful Hilodiver is dispatching them, smoking the meat and sharing. what a great life.

the dirctor for Transitions/Hospice comes here for what she thinks I don't know are counseling/therapy sessions. WE call it mudpie therapy some days, garden therapy, etc.... Today we maaged to plant about 60 cilantro starts, maybe 100 carrot starts (those short little ones), abut 20 bell pepper starts all to follow yesterday's two rows of cucumbers. Who knows what we will eventually do with all this food but definitely not fr the pigs but for people who need and/or want a good healthy, organic blend of vegetables. Wait till I get a litle more help and can get the orchard fed. We have fruit waiting to blossom on over 50 trees !! this is truly a living island......
