Please support proposed speed limit bills for HPP
#21
Why is this limited to HPP? Don't all the subdivisions need enforceable speed limits?

seems HPP is trying to catch up with Ainaloa and Nanawale Estates. I don't have a clue as to HOW or WHY HPP was omitted from the list when these sub-divisions received their official, enforcible 15 MPH limits.

Why does this bill address ONLY unpaved roads?

Because of the dust issue? (Which we all know is a Co of HI past oversight, letting business/$$$ dictate actions as usual; in this case the developers getting free passes and us getting reamed down the 'road').

What about the conehead(s) driving 50-60mph on the main arteries? All good there? Everyone's fine with this? "Sir, 55+mph is fine on Paradise, but you'll have to bring it down to 15mph or less on unpaved side roads. Sir."

I won't be supporting this until it addresses all roads.

Furthermore, for the record, I'm happy to pay more road fees for shoulders or (gasp) even sidewalks, on the main arteries.

I will not, however, be paying more road fees because some whiner (or 3, in this case) bitched about the dusty road in front of their house that they purchased on a dusty road, and the HPPOA board subsequently cowered in fear and ignorance when big brother came knocking.

If it bears repeating......read the facts posted on our web site about our fugitive dust violation... info on the law we are in violation of....and then go to the general meeting and repeat your position there!

If you own in HPP, you have a say about how they spend your money,
additional paving, easement maintenance, water trucks... whatever!
speak up at the meeting!
