A celebration of life for former state lawmaker Bob Herkes will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Dodo Mortuary in Hilo.
Herkes, of Volcano, Hawaii, a former Inter-Island Resorts hotel executive who served on the Hawaii County Council and in the state Senate and House of Representatives, died Aug. 21 in#8200;Hilo Medical Center. He was 83.
