Same here Kenney, I hope it turns out well for you friend. I would love it if Pam could come here but it just isn't possible at the moment. No disrespect meant towards the health professionals here, but the expertise Pam requires just doesn't exist here. In addition, the increase in vog and smoke we've seen in the last year or so would not help Pam's condition.

I still hope to get her back here one day, but you know, I quite enjoy my trips over to the west coast to be with her! A bit selfish, I know.

You're not selfish Tom.
My neighbor travels to the west coast to see his wife (working Nurse Practitioner) happily and regularly. We all do what we can to support our loved ones and to be close to them. My prayers travel better than I do, so that's what I do.
As a health care professional and sometimes patient, I'm sorry to say that I agree that health care here is lacking. Queens has been a blessing to me and mine, but if specialized care is required, there really is no option but the mainland.
I really wish we could and would do something to attract good Docs here. Last I heard, we are 200 docs short on the BI. I believe the new School of Pharmacology is a good start.

A brief read of this thread would indicate a serious illness. Are you really that callous that you need to demand someones medical chart details on some internet forum? Put down that sauce and pick up some couth man, you appear to be lacking in that department.

Thank you lavalava. As you say, Pam is suffering from a serious illness. If she wants to reply to Pog, she is more than free to do so, but she has other things on her mind right now.
