I'm no beer expert, but I've had a few of these. I believe there is just one t in Spaten. Here is a review:

I don't drink much beer either. But these taste good, and are potent. One and I get a buzz. Two, and I would not consider driving, riding a motorcycle, or climbing on a roof (I'd fall off). Actually, I wouldn't drive after one.

Here's a gent that I can't always follow what the heck he's saying about Optmator:

Read the comments section too. So, I take it that it's a German dopplebock. Guess I must like dopplebock beer. Watch out if you buy the larger bottles of this stuff. One of those, and I'm good.

What is it?

Thanks for the tips, everyone. I found Sierra Nevada Torpedo at Foodland in Keaau. I will try not to drink it. Just giving my friend a bunch of empty bottles might not seem like an appropriate thank you.

Still haven't found out what that Mexican beer was. I've never seen Pam enjoy a pint so much! [Wink]

Tom, try bring this next time (edit) with Pam, http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/664/5488/

Don't bother with Torpedo, grab one of the other recommended. ... If you want the essence of the S.N. brand, try the regular Pale Ale first.

Pog, I only got Torpedo because my friend asked for it. Still haven't tried it myself, but am certainly familiar with other Sierra Nevada beers!

However, there is one beer I really wish I could find here. I hope Pam remembers the Black Horse pub in Preston, Lancs, UK. It is one of my old haunts from my student days, so we visited two or three years ago and they still served the best pint in the world. Robinson's Old Tom.

It's also the only pub I ever got banned from, but that's an ancient story now...
