Thank goodness. It needs to happen more often and it needs to be Hawaiians doing the pushing.
A line of cars a mile long full of Hawaiians waiting to turn in and blocking the highway because they themselves are being blocked might help Kim and Ige focus.
ETA: Not blocking the highway for no reason. Blocking the highway because "somebody" is illegally blocking a public access road. Innocent folk just going about their business but unable to do so because of some trouble makers. Waiting in line, honking their horns, for hours... for days....

I’m not sure what’s most disturbing about that video, Obie.
1) A Hawaiian telling Hawaiians they’re not Hawaiian?
2) “I own this road” followed by total silence when asked to back up the statement?
3) Is the man blocking the access road a member of the Kingdom? In what capacity? From where does he get his authority? Will he be in charge of other negotiations for the Kingdom in the future?
Added: The man at the blockade said the folks filming wouldn't want to drive on the Access Road if they were Hawaiian. Do the Hawaiian people want their leaders and those asserting (un)law(ful) enforcement to tell them how to think, how to act, and what to believe? If Access Road Guy usurps that much authority based on nothing, how much power would he exercise if he thought his police type actions were in some way legitimate?

UH will never be able to claim that their students were ... unwilling to communicate, non-solution oriented...
Have the students communicated any of the solutions they gleaned from a semester of talk story? To the protestors? The governor? Our mayor?

Let's hope they learned they live in an incredibly tolerant and peaceful society, unlike most that have come before. That sometimes part of living in that kind of society is having your day in court, and then accepting the outcome and moving on.

Up to 3060 now but it would be a lot higher if it weren't being removed from sites like Big Island Thieves. It seems the protesters control the biggest social media sites and they keep removing this video. It's being shared via email and old creaky sites like Punaweb.

This is an illegal, unlawful action. An overthrow of the video, if you will. The internet and social media were first discovered and populated by Americans, they were the first navigators of the Information Superhighway and therefore by right of first arrival, latecomer protestors should not be allowed to remove videos or construct and transmit their own videos on sacred transmission nodes, hubs, and especially data centers. Until an agreement can be reached, we demand that when any new protestor video is posted, one of their old videos must be decommissioned and removed from public view.
