On the subject, Joplin Misery, (Missouri, to non locals) reporting lowest at $1.99.
There's been a strong decline this month. From the lowest peek price about Sept. 1st at $2.87, we have experienced around 30 percent decrease.
But, what's up in the BI? What's the percentage of decrease?

Cool site I discovered that you may or may not already be aware of:
HawaiiGasPrices.com
http://www.hawaiigasprices.com/
You can view current prices in Hawai'i, report prices that
you've found, check historical charts, and find info dealing with gases prices elsewhere at their parent site
GasBuddy.com
http://www.gasbuddy.com/
.

I know what will bring the price down, the threat of reinstating the gas cap. Just the threat alone would scare the gas suppliers into lowering prices. This is proof that the Hawaii gas suppliers are colluding to keep prices high. However I agree that a cap is not the best way to solve the problem. It's the lazy and easy way. The government needs to investigate the situation further and if needed create new legislation to increase competition between suppliers.

I recall reading (if I remember all this correctly) that Chevon makes 3% of their sales in Hawaii and the profits from Hawaii comprise 17% of their profits.
I found that quite interesting. Sorry, I can't name the source of that info.
Assume the best and ask questions.

No. Cal $2.79 three weeks ago, two weeks ago $2.45 per gallon regular and this week $2.36 unleaded. Interesting.
