For You Super Ferry Supporters....
#51
I wish there was a fleet of smaller ferries that ran more often and cost less so we had another option for commuting. That would make more sense to me. It would be cool too if they had package pricing like a monthly pass for people who are going to use it often. That's kinda what I had in mind when I first heard of the superferry, before I knew anything about it.

"How do you know i am mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the cat "or you wouldnt have come here."

absolutely brilliant! the sooner the superferry starts running, the faster we can propogate the spread of the invasive coqui frog, fire ant, etc., etc. great work! soon we'll have miconia infested, coqui frog ladden, red ant biting 'aina. mahalo to all you folks who disrepect the 'aina.

wow again. after perusing this forum, i am absolutely amazed and appalled at the sheer disregard for the 'aina and blatant short-sightedness of the pro-super ferry proponents....

seems that you have all forgotten the Hawai'i Supreme Court's decision on the matter...

Hawaii Superferry decision based on law

A few wrongs don't make a right. When Matson, Young Brothers, Hawaiian Airlines, Aloha Airlines began operation, Hawai'i was not yet under seige by the same number of invasive species threats. And a big mahalo to the folks who brought the coqui frogs in the bromeliads in the first place. One day you will see the impact these caribbean tree frogs have done to our islands. it's not just about noise, it is about a invasive species with no predators that is rapidly multiplying at an unprecedented rate. shame on the governor for letting the ferry fly through without paying attention to Hawai'i state environmental law.

"Matson, Young Brothers, Hawaiian Airlines, Aloha Airlines ect ect ect..."

Ive been looking for their Enviromental Impact Study... and I cant find any information at all!

If one company has to do it... All of them should have to also!

Why should all these other companys be able to operate without a study??

Like was said before... 2 wrongs dont make a right.

This represents what the HSF has done to address the environmental concerns.

I beg to differ with you! Both Matson & Young Bros have gone through renovation to the docks or harbors and yes, they had to wait for an EIS

What don't you folks understand? Lingle & HSF went directly against the orders of the Hawaiian Supreme Court. That's a crime, they broke the law. But in recent years people tied to the military(Lehman) & GOP (Lingle) have been making up their own laws and not listening to FISA Courts etc,etc..

If the topic here is the super ferry there is no point in having a topic if it is only to agree with each other all the time.

Be prepared for different points of view, that is what a forum is for.

that's what I said earlier on one of these threads. Eventually the other islands will move tho have theHSF banned from coming to the Big Island just because of the Red Ants & Croqui frogs. As like any agency in Hawaii, they will get lazy fast and before you know itall these little pest will be past on to the other islands..
