Burned by land clearing guy, a cautionary tale
#71
harassing phone calls? Certainly not from me or mine! No phone calls of any sort.
I'm sorry hikatz, but he really did leave me in the lurch.

I am paying to have what he did fixed; where was his offer to come back and follow through?

What if he had called me and offered to make it right?
I most surely would have posted praise of that.
But instead he posted only to call me a liar.

He already told me point blank he doesn't like working for Punaweb people.
So I'm not sure what business he has lost except from people he already despises.

I was also told that if I had posted his name here before hiring him, John Rabi would have told me about his prior experience, and no doubt cubanishi would have too.
So he did not have a good name here before. He simply hadn't been mentioned by name so that the unhappy clients would know to say something.

Where are all the satisfied Punaweb customers who are active Punawebbers? Only one so far, yourself, vs. three unsatisfied. And even you confirmed he had been unpleasant to you for no reason.

The way to keep a word of mouth business prosperous is to make your customers happy, not yell at them, insult them, quit on them, and demand money to leave. It's not my fault that Troy is so willing to throw away customers like myself who would have been likely to give recommendations if he just behaved in a businesslike fashion. It was his choice. I asked him several times to reconsider, calm down, and do what he came to do. He said NO. [Sad] He thought I wasn't going to say anything to anyone? [?]

I can't think of a better rebound than to have Kathy post up that he came back and was determined to make it right and to work it out.

oh that is so funny, dave. I had written the same thing without seeing your post because we were writing at the same time. I too have a background in customer service.

Troy not only said what I quoted in the first post, but some even meaner more hurtful things that I didn't care to repeat.

Thank you for believing me, Dave. You are right, you and I have had some honest differences of opinions, for all to read. I have a lot of respect for you though, and thank you for standing up and saying you believe.

This is an open forum anyone such as yourself and shauna can come out and defend him. If he does good work in a small community then he should surely have somme good references. I thought about your statement: "Trust me if your name gets posted negatively on punaweb, just remember what has happened to Troy." I thought about what I would do given Troys bad rap here on PW. What I would do is make it right....

Geez people... Maybe he hasn't signed on to Punaweb since he last posted that.

I had my name smeared by an anonymous person here on Punaweb trying to convince Oahu Realtors that I was a bad tenant despite this person had never met me in my life nor realized how long of a tenant I had lived in my place! And I warned my readers of my blog about this anonymous person here.

Maybe Troy is doing his own blog somewhere about his experiences with local clients? Maybe Troy Knows a lot of people here in Puna and He thinks that Punaweb is just a small proportion of people that live here. Maybe, Troy doesn't give a rip?

But a lot of people are sure jumping on the buggah.

And I'm doing business with Rabi too... Well at least I fantasize about it.... But the trade he tried to make me in our Fantasy Football league draft makes me question his scheming motivation for me to trade a much better player to him for a worst player.... is he suckering me in.... I guess I'll find out soon enough [:o)] [Wink]

He is not on drugs! About Troy going back and finishing so much has happened already, and from Kathy's description of the steep hillside, now the trees and foliage have been cut down, it sounds very difficult. This is way out of the league of the average person, it would take someone very skilled to put in a path that would be safe. Harassing phone calls, there is always someone, who gets their kicks doing things like that.

Kathy, I found out (not from Troy) what was going on that day and why he was so upset, which is why he overreacted in the conversation we had.

The "Customer is always right" is a phrase used for businesses that need returning customers.

I've dealt w/ many assholes that I just dismiss as being that while working in the retail business.

Putting on a smile is a need for repeat business.

Being real and getting the job done, will get you farther in life.

This "Customer is always right" is BS in my opinion as I've dealt with many clueless customers whether it being bagging groceries or filling orders for the State.

I've probably dealt with just as many wrong customers then right customers...

but then again... one must remember....

Right and Wrong are only belief systems.

What maybe Right to one person... maybe wrong to another and vice/versa.

Customer is always right!!!! Yeah right... if your desperate for repeat business....[^]

Damon says: "I've dealt with many clueless customers whether it being bagging groceries or filling orders for the State."

Neither of these examples is running/owning a business. LOL.

Got me there[:o)]

If the customer is right or wrong...there could be a private network of big island people that pass on the "who's an ass" information off of Punaweb.

Really... I guess in Damon land nobody needs repeat business?? But here's a hint pal in the real world Corporations spend freakin Billions trying to get repeat business.

I've dealt w/ many assholes that I just dismiss as being that while working in the retail business.

I have absolutly no clue what your point is here.. Maybe as Andrew said you've never owned a business or you have very little real world experience.. hell I don't know man.

Putting on a smile is a need for repeat business.

Again.. what the hell is your point. You're not really making me want to run over and check out your blog. Matter a fact if you feel like ranting at someone why don't you tare your ass back to blog land? Hell, that's the only reason you come here any more is to PIMP YOUR BLOG! You just want this thread to go on cuz your blog is getting high placement on Google. Oh wait, by your reasoning you don't really want anyone to go to your blog a second time.. is that what you're trying to say?

Being real and getting the job done, will get you farther in life.

Being real and getting the job done gets you repeat business.. which is the first time on this post you've got anywhere close to making since which only contradicts your own first statements...wtf?

This "Customer is always right" is BS in my opinion as I've dealt with many clueless customers whether it being bagging groceries or filling orders for the State.

Dam.. I'm not gonna touch this one but I will say "grocery boy and state work" hell with that on your resume you should have three blogs and a freakin cat!
I've probably dealt with just as many wrong customers then right customers...

but then again... one must remember....

Right and Wrong are only belief systems.

You may be the next fckin confusious damon.. Oh wise Damon what goes in the bag first the eggs are the bread??

Customer is always right!!!! Yeah right... if your desperate for repeat business....

I think I coverd that above.. But I still don't understand why the cashier at the convienence store doesn't say fck you have rotten day. I mean hell once you've sold a guy a pack of cigaretts where can you go from there...right? I've been patient with you man but don't come on here ranting on my sht.. save that crap for your blog cause I'm probably not going to ever see it there. That would be me giving you repeat busines and we all know you dont want that.
