House Hunters in Pahoa tonight 2/16
#31
Mo Info re your questions.
Re the furniture: They either manage to film when the house is still vacant, or the three crew members, the buyers & the Realtor move the furniture outside or around, or they pretend the furniture belongs to the seller.
The Kapoho sale was done by Ardena, also of our Prudential office. She did a great job! Don't know when it will air again, but I'm sure it will.
The scene voer the catchment tank was genuine - the first shooting. By the second shooting, on about the sixth "O.K., that was great just do it again," I think it had gotten a little stale. But Gary & Paul were super. Don't know how "real" actors do it.
We did have a great sequence that didn't make it. One house had a tiny storage closet by the floor. Paul (I think) said, "What the heck is this?" and the cameraman (Bruce?) said, "It's for your ohana." I had to explain, we all laughed, and then did it over & over. But it got left on the "cutting room floor" I guess.
The Buyers get $500, occasionally some gifts. I got to be famous for 15 minutes & drive a rental Mustang. Woo Hoo!
Don't know the Piazza's - yet.
Yes the HB house is available, I drove by there on Sunday. deja vu.

Six days of 12-hour filming and they get $500? Wow, I hope they enjoyed being on tv.

I didn't know you were with Prudential! I used to be the PB for the Prudential franchise here in Kona back in the mid '90s before I established my own company, and I went to one of the CRB classes with your owner/broker Bob Williams to San Diego!

John: Bob is awesome. I've worked with several other Brokers over the years and he is the most meticulous(sp?), careful, and one of the most knowledgable. We don't make mistakes thanks to him! We kid each other about ALWAYS having a sticky notes for corrections on our contracts, but we don't mind a little bit! Plus he's usually working on clarifying several issues, currently erratic enforcement and rules on the owner / builder permit mess. He really cares about RE. AND he's available when you need to speak or see your Broker! Also, Syleste, our Marketing Manager keeps Prudential at the top five on the Internet when someone looks up Hawaii Real Estate. As you know, John, there are advantages (and disadvantages) of having world-wide connections!
