Kamaoa Rd - Walkthru & Public Hearing
#31
Eric,

Since it's "Lynnette" making false claims, she should be the one to provide fact check, not Rob, and based upon her previous posts I do agree that she has very little credibility. Since her claims are false, of course "Lynnette" wouldn't be providing evidence that would reveal her.

Eric, This is a forum. You kids need to do your own fact checking. As long as it is reasonably civil and Hawaii based all opinions are welcome. I have limited time to play hall monitor at a middle school. If you are unhappy with that, by all means move on. It's called voting with your feet.

Best wishes,

Assume the best and ask questions.

A forum comes from the Forum, as in ancient Greece. A public place where people held discussions, the use of pseudonyms by speakers over the digital void is very un-forum like as no one is accountable for their words unlike a blog where anything gos.
Whatever, opinions are like elbows and I got a couple just like every one else. One last opinion; this road sale is dead in the water.-Adieu

I think the county should simply put a sign at the beginning of the road stating:

Travel at your own risk. Hawaii County does not maintain this road.

Solves the liability issue and there is certainly no need for paving it.

Thanks for stopping by to add to this 'non' this public discussion hot eric ....

Rob, Now that the election is over and new beginnings are happening, do you think we should have another one called "bicker and whiner forum" ?

Can talk about poor resturant service, too much rain, not enough rain, market prices, motorcycles riding too close, crooked politcians, nutty neighbors, etc..... all stuff that keep this forum hopping.

OR ... Should we stay with Punatalk and be happy talking about, year round, warm, lovely weather ( and people : ), low crime, near zero traffic, clean air and water and our CHOSEN > simple aloha way of life ?

mahalos,
pog

Pog,

We all should strive for the 'simple aloha way of life' where neighbors share and help one another and allow each other to live the way they choose. It really is a simple concept. Mahalo.

Kapohocat - Simply read the bounced email you got back. His email address will be right there in plain site. Then compose a new email with that address. Problem solved.

http://www.hawaiitribune-herald.com/arti...ogcomments: "A former county planning director says that a narrow, unpaved road near South Point that's been gated and locked for decades may be a legal right-of-way connecting South Point Road to Mamalahoa Highway. "this road was in existence in 1859."

http://www.westhawaiitoday.com/articles/...ocal03.txt "Riviera redux? Ka'u site targeted for development again"

It's troubling that whenever there's news about development schemes in K'au, Guy Enriques seem to be in the picture. Whatever happened to the CURRENT planning director, BJ Leithead-Todd after she determined that the historical Old Government Rd. has no vista and gave the thumbs up for Enriques to sell? Why is it that the EX planning director, Chris Yuen, always ends up providing data as to why these development schemes are unattainable? Why is the CURRENT planning director getting paid the salary when the EX planning director is doing all the work?

Nani Kahuku Aina (makai of HOVE) and WWK (Honu'apo, Naalehu) are the next developers with their claws into K'au. Keep 'em eyes and ears open.
