I know you were asking for sources locally, but if you can't find what you're looking for I'm seeing several sizing options in gardener catalogs. I've purchased it before at garden nursery centers too

Aki, How funny! We are looking for the same thing and a friend sent the link to CaliBamboo about 5 months ago. The shipping is outrageous!
I am going to email you a pic of what we did here with our fencing. Robert is going to stain them darker. I'll keep you posted as we need the 3/4" bamboo fencing for our shoji style doors. But heading to Bamboo2 next week possibly to check theirs out.
Thanks,Pog,that site looks like a good source for all things bamboo. Cat, we got the pictures you sent, thank you. I really like how the bamboo fencing sets the stage for the lush planting you've got going there.

I appreciate the link, as they have something I've been searching for.

aloha,

Last time I looked we were also "up in the US"...
Did you mean in the other US????
We are in Canada so we appreciate the 'US' sources of various products. Sometimes, I am tempted to go to SoCal on a shopping spree and send a container over (mostly with garden pots, patio furniture and furniture for the house); we'd probably come out ahead. But, then there's the considerations of damage during shipping, goods already acclimatized to the local climate, and helping the local economy if the cost savings are not that significant.
Also, I heard that it's cheaper to get a vehicle from Oahu and have it shipped over to the BI. Anyone with experience in that regard?
Aki, Go to autotrader.com and get your car from cali too. EZ to ship directly down on pasha.
aloha,
pog
Edit to add ... "o" guys ... no we are not.

Our friend is building a house around the corner on the ocean and while she is shopping for her, she is shopping for us!! She has my list and knows our houses so it is easier. I found the solar lights I wanted in So Cal for $39 but they only ship orders of $300 or more to HI but my cousin lives around the corner so she sent the 11# box for $14 to me! In this case, it wasnt buying local vs mainland - no one had what I wanted here.

I have a biz partner who cuts local bamboo for building projects, but soaking, drying and staining are not included.
