Nice pix on your site! Yes to bow hunting. Parts of Hawaiian Acres flood in heavy rains. Not sure if it extends down into Ochidland or not. Anyone know?

If you want your children to learn science, forget Christian Liberty. A friend is taking her children out of that school because they teach creationism, not evolution.

Sorry, Jenny, was away from punaweb for a few days... I don't know about tuition at St. Joe's - nobody has mentioned it and since my kids are grown I haven't asked.
ps-LOVE your gourd work!!! I haven't seen anything like that around here and I'm sure the galleries would be thrilled to carry some of it!

There is at least one good public school in Hilo, deSilva. I learned about it while looking for property. The school's quality makes property more valuable that is within its boundaries for enrollment.
I looked around and found a review page on it: http://www.trulia.com/schools/HI-Hilo/Er...ry_School/ The subdivision I know that it serves is Ainako. Ainako is a really nice part of Hilo and one of my top choices for the east side. Something to look at if you are interested. I imagine there are other neighborhoods that would work; Ainako is the one I know because I was house-hunting there.
