Elections Office

FYI: KITV4 News Reports this morning that "Dad (Pic of Yagong) Interferes with Daughter's Election"

Ethics Complaint filed stating Yagong was seen in the elections area directing election staff. The filer of the complaint told KITV4 they wanted to remain anonymous.

A section of the law was quoted that states in essence, no family member of a candidate can serve as an election official (Not verbatim).

Yagong not available for comment.

I'll update with a direct link when/if available at KHON4 site:

Now what? Is Yagong going to recuse himself now?

"Politics as entertainment is rarely disappointing." I don't know who said it but it has served me well. Once The Donald and Sarah didn't emerge as my Republican dream team the national scene lost all entertainment value. Locally however...

My wife I voted in the primary election. The school was open and voting was no problem though we both agreed afterwards that it was being run amateurishly. A crew of good natured folks were a bit unsure of what they were doing and security seemed weak. No big deal, actually. Then the election bungle story emerged.

It has been interesting to learn about the players. Jamae Kawauchi has certainly been demonized heartily and, perhaps, deservedly. She's in pretty deep now and probably can't simply hold a press conference and clear some things up. If it turns out that she has spurned advice and assistance I would hope the governor would step in.

Yagong and his bellicose arrogant explanations is beginning to remind me of a skit on David Letterman years ago – when Letterman was interviewing Bobby Knight – and the topic of Knight throwing chairs at various games was brought up.

As Letterman normally does, each video footage clip of Knight throwing a chair was “finished” with an edited in piece of a little old lady trying to find a place to sit at a basketball game – and all Knight was “really” doing was getting her the chair for her to sit on!

Again, as JR Ewing from the old “Dallas” TV show used to say, “Once you lose integrity, the rest is a piece of cake!”

Again, why the remaining pack of the 8 other boobs desire their legacy to be destroyed by this arrogant, ignorant jerk is beyond me.

Check the latest out: (*More at link-snipped)

Late Wednesday, Elections Administrator, Patricia Nakamoto, and former Senior Elections Clerk, Shyla Ayau, filed separate defamation and negligence lawsuits. They have sued Hawaii County Clerk Jamae Kawauchi, Hawaii County Council Chair Dominic Yagong in their individual and official capacities and the private investigator, Corporate Specialized Intelligence and Investigations, hired by Yagong. The County of Hawaii is also named because at the time of the decision, Kawauchi and Yagong may have been acting in their official capacity as County officers.

And, then there's this: (*Same article & link)

Last week, County Council Chair Dominic Yagong said that Kawauchi was in discussion to bring back Nakamoto to her job. When Hong was asked about that, he said “My client was surprised to hear that. She was never contacted by anyone officially. She heard about it from others who said they heard that.”

OMG.

Again, we taxpayers get to foot the damn bill. (Shaking my head, again.)[Sad!]

I do find it interesting that when the topic of the ethics complaint surfaces, the babbling boob of incompetence Yagong makes these statements about the discussions taking place with Nakamoto. Now we find it all Bullsh&^! - but we should not be surprised, as from my point of view - to me Yagong is like the old joke about how do you know when a Texan is lying? - WHEN HIS LIPS MOVE!

Now, it could be that the babbling boob of gross incompetence No 2 - also known as the Clerk - fed this misinformation to Yagong and all Yagong was doing was repeating it.

But, as is also par for the course with this group of imbeciles - we may never really know the truth.

As for whom pays for this - well - yeh - the tax payer - ME - YOU. But then again, we always seem to get what it is we pay for when we elect people based upon their argument of standing on the street corner waving at passing cars is a good thing!

And the eight remaining boobs COULD end this in 5 minutes. But, they don’t.

I especially find this statement from Hong so appropriate as to its reality – and I quote:

“Hong commented that Kawauchi, Yagong and the “Gang of Four” in the current Council leadership (Brenda Ford, Pete Hoffman, Angel Pilago, and Brittany Smart) intentionally ignored this problem, rejected every opportunity to resolve this problem, and left Nakamoto and Ayau no choice but to file this lawsuit.”

Ken, you said it. Man alive, this just gets worse and worse!

KHNLNews just reported they are asking for more than a million dollars total ($500,000 each)!!!

Now, are we waiting for another lawsuit from the family of the late Mr. Shikuma? (Couldn't blame them one iota if they decide to file a suit. jmo)

This is just so disgusting, on so many levels.

One piece of good news is that the electorate figured out who and what Yagong is so he only got less than 20% of the vote ( by the way, what were those folks thinking of?). Can you imagine Dominic selecting department heads and running (ok, ruining) the County? That would have been a four year nightmare.

Yes - about the only good thing this entire display of ego, incompetence, arrogance and stupidity - is that the babbling boob Yagong is DONE with anything political.

As for the Clerk - well - I favor disbarment.

FYI:

(*Snipped-more at link)

County Council Chairman Dominic Yagong has called a special meeting at 9 a.m. Tuesday to discuss lawsuits filed recently by two election workers who were fired in January.

ETA: Might as well share all the good news at once: (*Snipped)

http://www.bigislandnewscenter.com/kawau...ions-door/

The situation has now been exacerbated with the County Clerk’s decision to not send the new voter registrations to the printing contractor on Oahu by September 14, as did all the other Counties, for printing and mailing the yellow cards that confirm a voter’s registration. Until Kawauchi takes that step, the 4500 people (so far) who have registered or changed some information since the Primary will not have confirmation.
