sending homeless back home...
#11

I forgot. I live in the real world where I cant tell people I'll get back to them in 2 months. But government has that 6-10 week delay MINIMUM.

Seems like this would be a no-bid "89-day contract" for someone's cousin's brother's kid.

I live in the real world as well, and I agree, I could set up and get those tickets processed in a month no problem. I just happen to be working with one of my public servants on an issue lately - - so it's fresh in my mind how they function. Although "function" may not be the exact word I'm looking for...

There's a youtube channel I've been watching for about 4 or 5 years now. It's name is: INVISIBLEPEOPLETV — if go back to the early videos and watch 3 videos or so a day for a month, you might find yourself thinking differently about the homeless. You might get some sense ... hmmm ... that they aren't excess rubbish needing to be cleared from the streets.

Although I am not exactly "thrilled" with the inefficiencies of our government for this program or the other thread about social security- I do just want to point out that this is how people are often employed. A computer might do it faster or more efficiently, but it would take a whole lot less staff. We really need the jobs that exist right now to stay! This country has already lost way too many jobs to computers or to "more efficient, cheaper" foreigners.

Could you be more insulting? I'm a "foreigner" but I thought this country welcomed immigrants and in fact was built by immigrants. In the last few years I've been fighting to keep local people's jobs at our place but despite that now I'm just a cheap foreigner.

I want to go visit friends. Anyone have a tent I can live in for a month? [Big Grin]

Smash the evil computers, they're taking our jobs!

I wasn't really referring to the "foreigners" in this country Tom, although some might lump them into it too. I was referring to "outsourcing" and the huge impact it's had on america's job situation.
